The Aberlemno Village Hall Committee are delighted to open the Aberlemno Pictish Room to the public. This display was developed by Committee members with the support of local people and businesses. It has taken a lot of time and effort to get the display ready for public viewing and huge thanks must go to the Committee members past and present who made this possible. The permission of Angus Council in using the material in the display was also freely given.
The Pictish Room was formally opened by Norman Atkinson OBE on Saturday 14th July. Norman is a familiar face to those who have
attended previous Pictish walks around the village. With his long-standing support of the Hall and
our efforts to publicise our Pictish Heritage, it is particularly appropriate
that he will ‘cut the ribbon’ on the day.
The opening was well attended and immediately followed the Harley Davidson ride out passing through the Village. We do hope to see many more visitors at the Pictish Room either on our published opening times or by prior arrangement for a private viewing. Please do contact us here to make arrangements.
