On Saturday 24th of September, Aberlemno Village Hall is hosting another in its series of Pictish themed events to explore the area’s Pictish past. This year we return to the heart of Aberlemno and Focus on our magnificent carved stones.
There will be a talk and guided walk led by Norman Atkinson, obe, fsa scot, fma to Stories in the Stones…with your chance to ask all the questions that the stones and carvings generate.
For those going on the guided walk & talk there is charge of £5 per person which includes refreshments on arrival. Pre-booking is advised though not required, but spaces will be limited for safety and practical reasons (getting close enough to hear and making sure you get your free cup of tea!)
From 11.30 the hall will be open to all with Arts and Crafts stalls, Demonstrations & presentations running for most of the day and introducing:-

11.30 – Craft Fair and exhibitions open a demonstration of stone carving by David McGovern of Monikie rock art
11.30 – Refreshments available with Barbeque from 12.30
13:00 Walkers return to the hall
An afternoon walk and talk may be available if there is demand

Mini museum at the village hall (unfortunately access is restricted due to stairs)
